Aiken Land Conservancy Hike Series: Boyd Pond Park

March 15 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

The March hike for the ALC hike series will take place at Boyd Pond Park. We will hike around the pond, looking for wildlife along the way, before we reach an area that was recently burned. We will discuss native wildlife, the partnership that led to the park’s protection, how the park is managed for different uses, some interesting history of the park, and how current efforts are working to expand the park.

This hike is kid-friendly, so please feel free to bring your little ones along. However, there will be some slopes involved and the entire hike will be approximately 3.5 miles in length.

We will meet in the main parking lot for the park, located just west of the pond off of Michael Frank Drive. To reiterate, we will be meeting at the main parking lot north of Boyd Pond Road, west of the pond (33.456410, -81.794473).
