Event details: The next hike in the ALC Hike Series will take place at the Henderson Heritage Preserve. The hike will loop two miles near a large pond, follow a seepage stream upslope, pass by longleaf pine sandhill, and will visit a unique rock outcropping. As always, we will search for interesting plants and animals throughout the hike.

This hike is kid-friendly, so please feel free to bring your little ones along. There is no bathroom so please plan accordingly.

Parking is limited, so this hike will be limited to 25 people. Please register below to reserve your spot!

Where: Henderson Heritage Preserve, Mayfield Road Parking Lot (33.607334, -81.741645)

What to Bring: Water, sturdy shoes, and binoculars and camera (if you have them)

Trail Condition and Distance: Uneven sand or dirt trail, some uphill and downhill, 2 miles total
