The Korn Tract consists of 302 acres in northeastern Aiken County near Windsor and is part of the Aiken Gopher Tortoise Heritage Preserve. Gopher tortoises have been documented on the Korn Tract along with at least 12 other rare plant and animal species, including the federally-threatened red-cockaded woodpecker. The property also contains 1.7 miles of frontage on Pond Branch, a crucial tributary of the South Fork of the Edisto River.
