The next hike in the ALC Hike Series will take place at Hitchcock Woods. This 2,100-acre property is familiar to many of us, but you may be surprised at how many secrets it has to offer. Bennett Tucker, Superintendent of Hitchcock Woods, will co-lead the hike with our Executive Director, Peter Kleinhenz, on a 2-mile-long journey through an especially interesting section of the Woods. We will view rare plants, geologic formations, rare birds, and learn about the incredible land management undertaken by Bennett and his staff.

Any age is welcome on this hike, so feel free to bring along the kids. Dogs are welcome, but we ask that they stay on a leash at all times during this hike. There are no bathrooms.

Parking is limited, so this hike is limited to the first 30 people that register. Please let us know if multiple people are riding together in your party, so that we can open registration up to others on the waiting list.

If you are unable to join us, Cheryl Murga with the Sierra Club will be leading a hike on the kalmia trail the day before (May 10). That hike meets at 9:00 AM at 1700 Dibble Road (Rabbit Valley/near railroad crossing).
