An Interactive Art Festival Hosted by Aiken Land Conservancy
Breathe in the fresh air and unleash your creativity at Winthrop Field during this one-of-a-kind outdoor art experience! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just picking up a brush for the first time, this festival is all about making art—together.
When: Saturday, May 3, 2025
Time: Noon to 3:00 PM
Where: Winthrop Field, 400 Mead Avenue, Aiken
🎨 Create in the moment – Paint, draw, or sketch the towering trees, open skies, and maybe even a live horse or two in honor of the Kentucky Derby!
📝 Make poetry – Experience Ekphrastic poetry in action with a special guest poet. You will also have the opportunity to add your own line to a community poem on a vintage typewriter.
📸 Plus: Get tips from a professional photojournalist to enhance your photography!
🌳 Celebrate trees – Our natural surroundings are our muse, with a special thanks to Bartlett Tree Experts, for their help in maintaining the magnificent live oaks at Winthrop Field.
We provide the setting, drinks, snacks, and a warm welcome—you bring your creativity! From painting and drawing to photography and poetry, all forms of expression are encouraged.
